Life: Its Untold Meaning

“The circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant… it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are….”

It is a famous saying known only to a handful of the strangest critters that ever stalked the earth, humans. These creatures breathe, live, and die with each one passing by getting reborn in another land at another time. Ruling with an iron hand, they sit atop the food chain overlooking those below them. And yet just like every other living thing, they exist for a purpose. The struggle goes on.

There were several theories developed to define a man’s purpose in life. Each varying to some degree while the rest do share the same philosophy. Nevertheless, in the course of my hunger to seek divine knowledge to discern how one can obtain such purpose gave me a pretty interesting logic. In order to achieve purpose, one must admit that he/she has NO purpose. It is only then that one can start looking for possible choices from the ever ranging purposes in life.

Remarkably, this seems to be the easiest approach in defining one’s purpose knowing fully well it is accepted you have no purpose in life to begin with. Do not undermine yourself by comparing yourself with others. It is because each of us is unique in our own ways and that each of us has a different purpose laid down ahead of us. Fate may be a factor but even so, I for one declare that it is the sum total of the everyday decisions that we make comprises the total package that is you!

At times loneliness and the fact that one does not belong to any of the objects that make up society could attribute to a life-changing purpose. Regret and fear may introduce a new set of choices for man. Happiness and glee point toward a positive outlook in life thereby enhancing for a better personality and a different taste for satisfaction upon gaining success. Some of life’s atomic elements that we forsake are eventually realized as subtle components that add up to a complete existence.

Humans thrive upon problems and he/she who has problems is definitely fighting for the right war! It is only by these pressure conditions that we live up to the expectations and rise up to the occasion. As bleak as it might be, it is never too little nor is it too late to take upon the challenge of facing life. Smile and never frown, no one really knows who we brighten and touch with magical accuracy someone else’s emotion.

Live one day at a time. Empower those around us and share the love of God. Without Him, we are basically nothing. Be thankful we can live to fight for another day. While good things don’t last, some even don’t start!
